Unique, colorful, bright, and artistic worth. There is piggy bank, a cracker can, a tissue box and a pencil case. Yes, these items rely on milk. In the hands of Lani Cahyaningsari, his creation cans are full of motifs and colors.

In Depok, West Java, the work shop and the Kaleng Lani gallery are located. Here anyone who come can see directly the production process including me.

After being washed clean and given a white base color, the next step is to make a pattern on the tin. This time I tried to sketch my face. For beginners like me, Lani recommends making big patterns to make it easier during the coloring process.

Furthermore the coloring process, the paint used is acrylic paint, because water-based acrylic paint it does not take long to wait for this painty dry. Painting with the usual bright colors Lani chose to attract children. It takes skill and patience when painting paint with different sizes of this brush.

After the coloring process is completed, itu should be given a black line again so that the painting look more alive and is usually coated with transparent paint again to shine.

Before transofrmed into goods worth selling Lani used to arrange and store the used tins in his warehouse. In order to be neat and easy to know the availability of cans, Lani usually grouped the cans by size.

The more orders, now Lani is not alone in running this old tin painting business. She's already has 2 employees. These employees are in charge of helping Lani in providing basic paint and coloring.

But in process of designing, Lani keeps her own. Characteristics of Lani painting stylish pop art is funny and interesting. Lani always tried so that each painting is not the same. This is what sometimes becomes a bit of a constraint for her.
